Privacy, in plain English
- You give us your name, email, phone, business name, and website. We use them to personalize your demo and to follow up.
- We read the public pages of the website you enter so the AI can talk about your business.
- Your conversation with Marcus is recorded. Our team can read it. That is how we improve the product and follow up with you.
- We do not sell your information. Ever.
- We use a handful of vendors to make it work: Anthropic, Firecrawl, Resend, Supabase, and Cloudflare.
- Want your data gone? Email support@runtheaiplay.com and we will delete it.
01 Who we are
This demo is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], doing business as Run The AI Play ("we", "us", "our"). We build AI sales assistants for businesses. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the Marcus 2.0 demo at [DEMO URL] and any related pages.
Questions, requests, or complaints go to support@runtheaiplay.com, or by mail at [MAILING ADDRESS].
02 What we collect
Information you give us directly
To start a demo, you fill out a short form. We collect your first name, last name, email address, phone number, business name, and business website address. All six fields are required to run the demo, because the AI is personalized using them.
Content from the website you enter
When you submit your website, our crawling provider fetches your publicly accessible page content and a small amount of brand information such as your primary color and logo image address. We use this to teach the AI about your services, pricing, and common questions, and to brand the confirmation email. We read only what is publicly available. We do not attempt to access password protected, private, or hidden areas of your site.
Your conversation
We record the full text of your chat with Marcus, including every message you send and every reply the AI generates, along with timestamps. We also record demo outcomes, such as whether the AI booked a simulated appointment and whether a confirmation email was sent.
Consultation requests
If you book a real call with our team, we collect the date and time you selected, your timezone, the topics you selected, and any notes you type.
Technical information
Our hosting and infrastructure providers process standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps in their server logs, for security and reliability. We do not use this to build a profile of you.
03 Why we use it
| What we do | Why |
|---|---|
| Run the demo | To train the AI on your business and hold a personalized conversation with you. This is the service you asked for. |
| Send confirmation emails | To confirm a simulated demo booking or a real consultation you requested. |
| Notify our team | So a human can prepare for and attend a call you booked. |
| Follow up with you | Because you used a sales demo and asked us to build something for your business. You can opt out any time. |
| Improve the product | We review conversations to find where the AI performed well or poorly, and to fix it. |
| Protect the service | To prevent abuse, spam, and runaway costs on a public endpoint. |
If you are in a region that requires a legal basis for processing, ours are: performance of a contract (running the demo you requested), legitimate interests (improving and protecting the service, and following up on a commercial enquiry you initiated), and consent where required for marketing email.
04 How the AI part works
This matters more than most privacy policies admit, so here it is directly.
When you send a message, that message, the recent conversation history, the content crawled from your website, and your form details are transmitted to Anthropic, the provider of the Claude model, which generates the reply. This happens through our server, so our API credentials are never exposed to your browser.
Do not type anything into the chat that you would not want stored and read by our team, or processed by our AI provider. It is a sales demo, not a secure channel. Please keep passwords, financial details, and confidential information out of it.
07 How long we keep it
We keep demo sessions, transcripts, and booking records for as long as we have a reasonable business need, which generally means while we are following up with you and for a reasonable period after, up to [RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. 24 months]. After that we delete or anonymize them.
If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, except where we are required to keep something for legal or accounting reasons.
08 How we protect it
- All traffic runs over encrypted HTTPS connections.
- Our database tables have row level security enabled with no public access policies, so demo data cannot be read using our public keys.
- API credentials are stored as server side secrets and are never sent to your browser.
- Access to the internal review tool is restricted to our team and protected by an access code.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we discover a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any required regulator as the law demands.
09 Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
- Portability, meaning a copy in a usable electronic format.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the right stands.
- Be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of them, email support@runtheaiplay.com from the address you used in the demo, or tell us enough for us to find your record. We will respond within the time the law allows, generally 30 to 45 days. There is no charge, and you may use an authorized agent.
To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe option in any email or just reply and tell us. We will still send transactional messages about a call you booked.
10 Where your information goes
We operate from the United States and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your information may be transferred outside your home country. Where required, our providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for those transfers.
11 Children
This is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
12 Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, such as collecting a new category of information or adding tracking technology, we will make that clear rather than quietly editing the text.
13 Contact us
Email support@runtheaiplay.com, or write to [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [MAILING ADDRESS]. If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we have mishandled your information, you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.
The deal, in plain English
- This is a free demo of an AI sales assistant. It is a preview, not a purchased product.
- Appointments the demo bot books are simulated. No real appointment exists on anyone's calendar.
- Only enter a website you own or are authorized to use.
- The AI can be wrong. Do not treat anything it says as professional advice or a binding offer.
- Do not abuse the demo, attack it, or use it for anything illegal.
- Booking a real call with our team is a request. We will confirm it.
01 Agreement to these terms
These Terms and Conditions are a binding agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], doing business as Run The AI Play. By using the Marcus 2.0 demo you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the demo.
If you are using the demo for a company, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms on its behalf.
02 What the demo is, and what it is not
The demo lets you preview an AI sales assistant configured from your own website content. You submit your details, we read your public website, and you exchange messages with an AI that role plays as an employee of your business while you role play as one of your customers.
The demo is a simulation. Specifically:
- Any appointment the AI books during the chat is fictional. It is not added to any calendar and no one will attend it. The on screen confirmation and the confirmation email both say so.
- Any discount, offer, guarantee, price, or availability the AI mentions during the demo is illustrative and creates no obligation for you or for us.
- The AI is not an employee, agent, or representative of your business, and nothing it generates is a statement by your business.
03 Eligibility and the website you submit
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract.
When you submit a website address, you represent and warrant that you own that website or are authorized to have its public content read and processed for this purpose, and that doing so does not violate anyone's rights or that site's terms of use. Do not submit a competitor's site, a client's site without permission, or any site you have no relationship with.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the contact details you enter, including confirming the email address is yours.
04 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the demo for anything unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or harmful.
- Submit someone else's personal information without their permission.
- Attempt to extract, reveal, or reverse engineer the underlying prompts, models, source code, or infrastructure.
- Try to make the AI produce content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate.
- Overload, flood, scrape, or automate access to the demo, or run it through scripts or bots.
- Interfere with the security or availability of the service, or attempt to access areas or data you are not authorized to access.
- Resell, sublicense, or present the demo as your own product.
We may limit, suspend, or block access at any time, without notice, if we believe the demo is being misused or if usage threatens the cost or stability of the service.
05 AI generated content
Replies in the demo are produced by an AI language model. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate for your situation. It may misread your website or invent details that are not there.
Nothing produced by the demo is legal, financial, medical, tax, or other professional advice, and none of it forms a contract or a binding offer between you and anyone. You are solely responsible for how you use, share, or act on any output.
Similar prompts may produce similar output for other users, so we cannot promise that output is unique to you.
06 Booking a real call with our team
After the demo you may request a real consultation. Selecting a date and time submits a request. There is no live availability check, so the time you pick is not guaranteed until we confirm it and send a meeting link. We may propose a different time or decline the request.
The consultation is a sales conversation. It is free, carries no obligation, and does not create a client relationship or any commitment to provide services.
07 Communications
By submitting the form you agree that we may contact you by email at the address you provided about your demo, your booking, and our services. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying or using the unsubscribe option. We will still send messages about a call you actually booked.
If you provide a phone number and we contact you by phone or text, standard message and data rates may apply and you can ask us to stop at any time.
08 Intellectual property
Ours. The demo, including its software, design, branding, the Marcus name, prompts, and underlying systems, belongs to us or our licensors. Using the demo does not transfer any of it to you. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from it.
Yours. Your website content, business information, and anything you type remain yours. You grant us a limited, non exclusive, royalty free license to process them for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy, which includes running the demo, following up with you, and improving the service.
09 Availability and changes
The demo is provided free of charge and is offered as is. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice. We do not promise any level of uptime, response speed, or continued availability, and we depend on third party providers whose outages are outside our control.
10 Third party services
The demo relies on outside providers including Anthropic, Firecrawl, Resend, Supabase, and Cloudflare. Their processing is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions, and links to third party sites are not endorsements.
11 Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the demo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non infringement, accuracy, or that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error free.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost business opportunities, or reputational harm, arising out of or related to your use of the demo, even if we were advised such damages were possible.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the demo will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100), which reflects that the demo is provided free of charge.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13 Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees arising from your misuse of the demo, your breach of these terms, your submission of a website you were not authorized to submit, or your violation of any law or third party right.
14 Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. You and we agree that any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY, STATE], and both parties consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Before filing anything, please email support@runtheaiplay.com so we can try to resolve it directly. Most things are fixable with a conversation.
15 General
Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the demo.
Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
No waiver. If we do not enforce something right away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not assign these terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Changes. We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and continuing to use the demo after a change means you accept it.
